NMS and Siemens Forge Strategic Partnership to Drive Digital Transformation

On May 15, Nanchang Mineral Systems Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “NMS”) and Siemens Digital Industries Software (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Siemens Digital Industries Software”) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Nanchang, officially launching a joint Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) upgrade project. This collaboration marks a major step toward deepening digital empowerment and advancing NMS’s transformation into a digital enterprise.

As a leading domestic provider of high-end mineral processing equipment, NMS has in recent years implemented a dual-drive strategy focused on “equipment manufacturing + service,” establishing a comprehensive service system covering the entire product lifecycle. However, persistent data silos in areas such as R&D, design, and manufacturing remain a barrier to efficiency. To overcome these challenges, NMS is turning to digital tools to achieve full value-chain integration.

During the event, Mr. Liu Ruofeng, Vice President of Industrial Machinery and Heavy Equipment at Siemens Digital Industries Software, delivered a keynote titled “Unlocking the Value of Digital Twins in Equipment Manufacturing,” highlighting the strategic value of digital twin technology in cultivating new productivity paradigms. Mr. Hu Minrui, Deputy Director of the NMS Digitalization Center, shared insights into the background and significance of the PLM upgrade from the company’s perspective. Mr. Qin Yanjun, Technical Director of Changsha Kaisida Information Technology Development Co., Ltd., outlined the project implementation goals and timelines.

Following the signing ceremony, representatives from both sides jointly planted a commemorative tree to symbolize the long-term strategic cooperation.
