Major News! NMS Zimbabwe Subsidiary Signs USD 36.4 Million Gold Mine Operation Agreement

2025.08.01

Recently, Nanchang Mineral Systems Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “NMS”) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary in Zimbabwe—Nanchang Mineral Systems Zimbabwe (Private) Limited (hereinafter “NMS Zimbabwe”)—officially signed the Phase I Surface Oxide Ore Heap Leaching Operation Agreement for the Brownhill Gold Mine Project with Sucpass Gold Resources (Pvt) Limited (hereinafter “Sucpass Gold”). The total estimated value of this agreement is USD 36.4 million, marking an important step for NMS in deepening its presence in the African market and implementing its overseas strategy of “Three Transformations and One Optimization.”

According to the agreement, NMS Zimbabwe will take full responsibility for the mining and heap leaching of surface oxide ore in Phase I of the Brownhill Gold Mine Project, located in Mberengwa, Zimbabwe. The cooperation will follow a gold product revenue-sharing model, with an estimated total gold sales revenue of USD 36.4 million. Of this amount, Sucpass Gold, as the mining rights holder, will receive 25% (approximately USD 9.1 million), while NMS Zimbabwe, as the operator, will receive 75% (approximately USD 27.3 million). The final product revenue split will be based on actual results.

It is worth noting that NMS, through its wholly owned Singapore subsidiary NMS INTERNATIONAL HOLDING PTE.LTD., indirectly holds 28% of Sucpass Gold’s shares, making this a related-party transaction. During the cooperation, Sucpass Gold will contribute the project site and operation rights as its investment, while NMS Zimbabwe will bear all construction, operation, and management expenses, including personnel, equipment, materials, vehicles, camp facilities, work visa applications, electricity costs, and auxiliary facility construction. The subsidiary will independently manage and account for its operational activities.

This cooperation is a key step in NMS’s “Three Transformations and One Optimization” development strategy (focusing on expanding the aftermarket, overseas markets, and metal mining market, while optimizing the customer structure of the aggregates market.). Zimbabwe is extremely rich in mineral resources; official statistics show that approximately 60% of the country’s land surface contains mineral deposits, and more than 40 mineral resources, including gold, have been proven. It is a core strategic market for NMS’s overseas expansion.

NMS has been deeply engaged in the African market for many years and has built a solid foundation. In 2017, the company established its Africa branch, creating a service network covering Southern, Central, and Western Africa, and built a large warehouse in Johannesburg, South Africa, forming a comprehensive service system. In 2023, NMS established its Zimbabwe subsidiary to further expand in the local market, providing strong support for long-term growth.

NMS has already accumulated multiple successful project cases in Zimbabwe. Its subsidiary, NMS Engineering Co., Ltd., provided EPC contracting services for the crushing system of the 2 Mtpa Bikita Lithium Mine Gravity Concentration Plant Expansion Project for Sinomine Resource Group Co., Ltd., including process design, steel structure fabrication and installation, full equipment installation, commissioning, and delivery. All crushing and screening equipment for the line was supplied by NMS. Huayou Cobalt’s Arcadia Lithium Mine Project in Zimbabwe also successfully applied core NMS equipment such as BS banana screens, MLS-B banana screens, EHS bar screens, and ZKR linear screens. NMS equipment has additionally been deployed in 350 TPH and 150 TPH lithium mine projects in the country.

These successful cases demonstrate NMS’s strong capabilities in providing integrated “technology + supply chain” solutions and deliver solid technical and operational support for the new gold mine cooperation. The transaction aligns closely with NMS’s strategic plan. The signing of this agreement will further expand the company’s presence in core overseas markets, enhance the global recognition and influence of the “NMS” brand, accelerate the implementation of the “Three Transformations and One Optimization” strategy, and promote high-quality growth in the global mining market.
