To further stimulate innovation vitality across the organization and accelerate the implementation of the “Technology-Driven NMS” strategy, Nanchang Mineral Systems (NMS) successfully held the 7th “929 Innovation Day” Summary Conference on September 29. The event was attended by Mr. Li Shunshan, Chairman and President of NMS.

Since its inception in 2018, “929 Innovation Day” has been held for seven consecutive years, becoming a key platform for fostering a company-wide culture of innovation. This year’s theme, “Intelligent Manufacturing for a New Future,” was officially launched on September 9, featuring a series of activities including online lectures, innovation project submissions, and evaluations.

The conference began with a themed video titled “Our Road to Innovation.” During the expert sharing session, Mr. Per Svedensten, CEO and Director of NMS Sweden R&D Center, delivered a keynote speech on “A Global Perspective on Mining Equipment Innovation.” He shared his insights into the nature, conditions, and growth paths of innovation, emphasizing that true innovation stems from a deep understanding of products and market needs. He highlighted modeling and simulation as powerful tools for generating knowledge and validating innovative ideas, and pointed out that digital solutions remain a largely untapped yet highly promising area for long-term innovation. Dr. Ye Xiao, Senior Technical Consultant at Siemens Digital Industries Software Simulation Integration Solutions, followed with a presentation titled “Empowering R&D Innovation in Mining Equipment through AI and Digital Twin Technologies.” He introduced the application of artificial intelligence and digital twins in mining equipment R&D, illustrating how AI-driven lifecycle management and Executable Digital Twin (xDT) technologies can enhance product development and operational efficiency.

Participants also viewed feature videos highlighting the intelligent manufacturing advancements achieved at NMS’s Production and Manufacturing Center and its subsidiary Jiangxi Gold Intelligent Service Engineering Co., Ltd. (GIS), offering an inside look at the company’s smart production facilities and new foundry base.

Mr. Tian Tian, President of the NMS Innovation Club, announced the New Evaluation Regulations for 2026 Innovation Projects. Starting in 2026, the Club will evolve from an organizer to an enabler—providing end-to-end support through project archiving, progress tracking, expert guidance, and resource connection. The conference also presented the Ziqingshan Club “Innovation Star” Award to honor exemplary contributors.

In his concluding remarks, Chairman Li Shunshan emphasized that innovation is the core driver of both enterprise and personal growth—it determines not only survival, but the trajectory of future development. While acknowledging NMS’s achievements over the past seven years, he noted that there remains room for continuous improvement. To ensure innovation becomes a tangible part of company operations, he called for strengthening leadership commitment and accountability through initiatives such as integrating innovation into performance evaluations, requiring annual innovation reports from executives, and establishing a contribution-based reward system.

Li further underscored that genuine innovation arises from passion for work, care for customers, and a strong sense of responsibility. He encouraged all teams to focus on addressing pain points in manufacturing, service, and maintenance, advancing both management efficiency and technological progress. He advocated for an empathy-driven innovation mindset, one that inspires and protects creative energy, and a challenge-based incentive system that aligns personal pursuits with corporate goals—creating value through real problem-solving.

The 7th “929 Innovation Day” Summary Conference concluded in a warm and engaging atmosphere. The event not only reviewed the year’s innovation achievements but also charted a clear path for future innovation initiatives. Building on this momentum, NMS will continue to strengthen its innovation system, deepen reform, and foster an enterprise-wide culture of creativity and collaboration—driving high-quality, sustainable growth into the future.
