From July 16 to 18, the Silk Road Mining Cooperation Forum & the 16th China Xinjiang International Mining Expo was held at the Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center under the theme of “Innovation, Sustainability, and Globalization.” NMS set up a 132-square-meter exhibition area at Booth A06 in Hall 2. On the first day of the event, NMS held the unveiling ceremony for equipment from its new business segment, where four innovative products made their debut and became a highlight of the exhibition.

Integrated Industrial Chain Layout: NMS’ New Business Segment Officially Takes Off

On the morning of July 16, NMS held a concise yet grand unveiling ceremony for the core equipment of its new business segment at the exhibition booth. Zhang Zhimin, Secretary-General of the Xinjiang Mining Association, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.He stated that advanced equipment and cutting-edge technologies are fundamental support for smart mining and key drivers of innovation in the mining industry. Xinjiang is rich in mineral resources, with 154 identified mineral types, accounting for 88% of the 174 known mineral types in China, offering broad market potential. He expressed his expectation that NMS would further expand its presence in Xinjiang, fully leverage its integrated industrial chain advantages, inject new momentum into the high-quality development of Xinjiang’s mining industry, and jointly build a new vision for smart mining.

In his speech, Hu Longjie, General Manager of the Domestic Market Department of NMS Marketing & Sales Center, stated that the establishment of NMS (Shanghai) Pump Industry Co., Ltd. represents a key step in NMS’ strategic initiative of strengthening, supplementing, and extending its industrial chain.Over the years, NMS has accumulated strong technological advantages and market recognition in the crushing and screening sector. By establishing NMS (Shanghai) Pump Industry Co., Ltd., the company has further completed its capabilities in mineral processing and slurry transportation, marking NMS’ accelerated transformation from a single crushing and screening equipment manufacturer into a system solution provider covering the entire mineral processing chain.He noted that the newly unveiled pump products represent the integration of NMS’ years of technological accumulation and innovation achievements. They will effectively support key processes such as metal mining beneficiation and slurry transportation, demonstrating NMS’ strategic approach of deeply integrating equipment, services, and intelligent solutions.

Following the speeches, Secretary-General Zhang Zhimin and NMS executives jointly unveiled the new products. As the red curtain was slowly lifted, the physical model of the Ceramic Slurry Pump was officially presented to the public, receiving warm applause from the audience.
Technology Leadership: Diverse Innovative Products Empower Smart Mining

As the highlight of this exhibition, the Ceramic Slurry Pump was specifically developed for highly abrasive, high-concentration, and high-head slurry transportation conditions, achieving systematic breakthroughs across three key technical areas.In terms of hydraulic design, the R&D team optimized the pump based on the physical characteristics of ceramic materials and actual slurry pump operating conditions. Compared with traditional metal slurry pumps, the pump efficiency has been improved by 2% to 5%.In terms of structural design, the pump casing adopts a composite structure combining a metal outer shell and ceramic lining, offering both excellent wear resistance and high-pressure strength. All wetted components in contact with slurry are made of full ceramic materials. The rear pull-out design allows maintenance to be carried out without dismantling pipelines.In terms of ceramic materials, the wetted components are made of reaction-bonded silicon carbide. Based on NMS’ proprietary formulation and sintering technology, the service life is approximately 5 to 10 times longer than traditional high-chrome alloy materials.

While showcasing the core equipment of its new business segment, NMS also presented three additional innovative products and technologies, together with the Ceramic Slurry Pump, forming a comprehensive exhibition portfolio covering equipment, wear-resistant components, and intelligent services.

The Smart Oil Shield, an intelligent lubrication oil purification solution making its first public appearance, is widely applicable in industries including metallurgy, mining, coal, petrochemicals, power generation, and engineering machinery. Through systematic purification of various types of lubricating oils, it effectively extends oil service life.Based on the principle of centrifugal separation, the system uses a dual-spray rotating shaft operating at over 6,000 rpm, generating more than 2,000 times gravitational force, completely transforming the traditional filtration approach based on filter elements.The system requires no filter replacement and supports oil viscosities ranging from 8 cSt to 460 cSt, while handling oil temperatures of up to 135°C. Equipped with real-time monitoring functions for moisture content and dielectric constant, it can be modularly integrated with oil quality monitoring systems according to customer requirements. Its fully enclosed integrated design effectively protects against harsh operating environments such as humidity and dust.Application data shows that with the Smart Oil Shield installed, lubricant service life can be extended by three times, while the service life of main oil circuit filters and oil supply pumps can also be increased by three times. The service life of sliding bearings can be improved by 50%.

The High-Performance Wear-Resistant Components segment featured two major product series: wear liners and MDI polyurethane anti-blinding screen panels.The wear liners are manufactured from high-manganese steel. With carbon content designed above national standards, combined with optimized alloy composition and heat treatment processes, the products further improve wear resistance while maintaining material toughness and impact resistance.Following the principle of “one mine, one solution,” NMS utilizes its independently developed chamber design software to provide customized chamber optimization solutions based on different mining conditions. These solutions effectively improve crushing performance, increase production capacity, and significantly extend liner service life.Throughout project implementation, the technical team continuously tracks operating data and performs dynamic optimization adjustments to ensure equipment maintains efficient operation over the long term.At a polymetallic mine project in Hunan Province, the solution delivered outstanding results. The service life of jaw plates was extended by 10 days compared with similar products, increasing output by 50,000 tonnes per set and improving service life by 18%. The service life of the mantle liner was also increased by 10%, fully demonstrating its excellent performance and reliability under complex operating conditions.The screen panels use imported MDI raw materials, combining high open area with excellent resilience to effectively address material blockage issues. The internal hook fastening design enables quick replacement, while the flow-dividing block design optimizes screening paths. Customized design services meet diverse requirements under different operating conditions.

The Intelligent Operation & Maintenance System has been further enhanced with a new smart monitoring function for slurry pumps.By deploying sensors at key locations of slurry pumps, the system collects multi-dimensional operating data, including vibration and temperature, in real time. Combined with 3D digital twin technology, it visually reconstructs equipment operating conditions, sensor monitoring points, and vibration data, enabling continuous condition monitoring and early warnings.The system effectively reduces losses caused by unplanned downtime and creates measurable economic value for customers.
