NMS Showcases at Electra Mining Africa 2026 —Intelligent O&M System and Ceramic Slurry Pump Make Overseas Debuts

2026.09.16

From September 7 to 11, Electra Mining Africa 2026 was held at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. As one of Africa’s largest comprehensive exhibitions for mining and construction equipment, the 28th edition brought together more than 1,000 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions. NMS’s South African subsidiary exhibited at Booth C21 in the Blue Zone, presenting a comprehensive portfolio covering “core equipment + intelligent systems + aftermarket parts and components.” The exhibition featured NMS’s established products and innovations in high-end crushing equipment, intelligent O&M, slurry transportation, and aftermarket parts, further demonstrating its capabilities in evolving from a single equipment supplier to a comprehensive solutions provider. Among the highlights, the Intelligent O&M System and Ceramic Slurry Pump made their overseas exhibition debuts.

At the exhibition, these two new products attracted significant attention. Centered on a “one mine, one solution” approach, the NMS Intelligent O&M System uses digital twin technology for production lines to enable visualized production processes, refined equipment management, and multimodal predictive maintenance, helping transform mining O&M from “reactive maintenance” to “proactive prevention.” The system consists of three key modules: equipment management, predictive equipment maintenance, and AR interaction. By monitoring multiple parameters, including vibration and oil condition, in real time, it provides early warnings of potential equipment faults. Intelligent inspection glasses and AR-based disassembly and assembly training modules further improve on-site operations and remote collaboration. The system has already been deployed at multiple mining projects.

Equally noteworthy was the Ceramic Slurry Pump, developed specifically for highly abrasive, high-concentration, and high-head slurry transportation applications. Its specially optimized hydraulic design increases pump efficiency by 2% to 5% compared with conventional metal slurry pumps. The pump features a composite structure combining a metal outer casing with a ceramic lining, providing both wear resistance and high pressure-bearing strength. Its rear pull-out design allows maintenance to be performed without removing the piping. All wet-end components are made of reaction-bonded silicon carbide, delivering a service life approximately 5 to 10 times that of conventional high-chrome alloy materials.

In the core exhibition area, the CC Single-Cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crusher and JC Jaw Crusher also attracted many professional visitors. The CC Series Single-Cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crusher is one of NMS’s established models. It combines interparticle crushing and automatic control technologies, with functions including overload protection, tramp iron protection, and automatic compensation for liner wear. It is suitable for secondary and tertiary crushing of high-hardness and highly abrasive ores. NMS is also one of the organizations that participated in drafting the industry standard Powerful Cone Crushers and the national standard Cone Crushers — Energy Consumption Indicators, reflecting its extensive technical expertise in crushing equipment. The JC Series Jaw Crusher features a deep symmetrical crushing chamber with a high reduction ratio. Its heavy-duty movable jaw assembly and robust frame structure ensure reliable operation under demanding working conditions. Wedge-type discharge opening adjustment and an integrated motor mounting design further simplify routine maintenance and help reduce maintenance costs.

In the aftermarket section, NMS also showcased wear-resistant liners, eccentric copper bushings, high-quality polyurethane screen panels, and other spare parts. The wear-resistant liners are made of high-manganese steel with a carbon content exceeding the applicable national standard. Optimized alloy composition and heat treatment processes further extend wear life while maintaining material toughness and impact resistance. The high-quality polyurethane screen panels use imported MDI raw materials and feature a high open area and excellent resilience, effectively addressing blinding issues. Their internal hook-and-snap design makes installation and replacement more convenient, while customized designs are available for different operating conditions and application requirements.

From core equipment and intelligent O&M systems to aftermarket parts, NMS presented its end-to-end capabilities spanning equipment supply and O&M services. During the five-day exhibition, a number of African mining companies showed strong interest in NMS equipment and engaged in in-depth discussions on equipment performance, technical specifications, and potential project cooperation.

NMS established its wholly owned African subsidiary in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2017, making it one of the earlier companies in the industry to establish an overseas presence. The subsidiary has built a professional team covering localized sales, service, and technical support. It also operates a spare parts warehouse in Johannesburg serving Central and Southern Africa, supported by a broad network of service locations. This enables NMS to provide customers with end-to-end services covering preliminary project solution design, product installation and commissioning, spare parts supply, technical support, and training.

NMS’s participation in the exhibition marks an important step in deepening its presence in the African market and provides a solid foundation for further expanding its presence across Africa and other global markets. Going forward, NMS will continue to strengthen its localized services and spare parts support in Africa, providing mining customers across the continent with more efficient and sustainable equipment and O&M support.
